Despite what she says, Vice President Kamala Harris is very aware that her national profile is not good. In an effort to boost her popularity, she thought she would make a similar play California Governor Gavin Newsom has done.
To be clear every time Newsom did this he looked like an idiot but nevertheless, Kamala thought it would work.
CNN reports that Harris’ team decided to “quickly arrange” a political event in Jacksonville, Florida after the state’s new African American history curriculum had been approved.
Oh, and we can thank RINOs for helping out too.
Harris’ team has reportedly “marveled” over the fact that her attacks on the curriculum have led to his “opponents” using her attacks “as ongoing fodder for attacks.”
The Vice President’s team decided to launch the attack because they felt Kamala was being left on the sidelines. Her team has “often complained of her being left out of the spotlight and without support by many in the president’s inner circle.”
“Harris has been quietly noting how other Democrats, including her friend and sometimes rival for attention California Gov. Gavin Newsom, have grabbed the national spotlight by swinging at Republicans aggressively,” the report said. “Aides say she has also been watching the news out of the Republican presidential race and telling Biden aides she wants to be seen as fighting against extremism.”
But DeSantis hit back and Kamala ended up licking her wounds just like Newsom did.
The Florida governor sent a letter to Harris offering her a face to face meeting to discuss the controversy adding he understand if she can’t make it because she may have a border trip scheduled.
The federal government won’t dictate Florida’s education standards.
