Vance Military Record Become Discussion

Hello, everyone! Let’s dive into the latest saga of Democratic delusion surrounding Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) and his military service. Democrats love to gush over Walz’s Army National Guard background, conveniently ignoring the fact that he left his unit hanging and accepted a default demotion to avoid a combat tour. Meanwhile, they seem blissfully unaware that his political opponent, Senator JD Vance (R-OH), actually served in Iraq with the U.S. Marines.

Take Senator Tina Smith (D-MN), for example. During a recent appearance on CNN, she sang Walz’s praises, conveniently glossing over his abrupt retirement in 2005 right before his unit was scheduled to deploy to Iraq. Anchor Jim Acosta let her ramble on until she claimed ignorance of any military service on Vance’s part. Watch this gem of a moment:

Smith, in her infinite wisdom, said, “Well, here is Tim Walz, who enlisted when he was 17 years old, he served in the National Guard for 24 years, and I’m not aware of any military service that JD Vance has ever served, so let’s just make the comparison there.” Right on cue, Acosta interjected, “He was in the Marines,” to which Smith sheepishly replied, “— yeah, okay, pardon me for that.”

Over on MSNBC, a similar comedy sketch played out between anchor Andrea Mitchell and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA). Mitchell noted that Vance had criticized Walz for over-inflating his military experience. Pelosi, ever the class act, shot back, “Has JD Vance been in combat?” After being informed that Vance had served in Iraq, Pelosi’s response was as graceful as ever.

Not to be outdone, Alyssa Farah Griffin from ABC’s “The View” (currently on hiatus) chimed in, praising Walz’s military service as “the highest ranking enlisted soldier ever to serve in Congress.” Meanwhile, actual veterans, like J.R. Salzman, are calling out Walz for his cowardice. Salzman tweeted, “I served in the Minnesota National Guard with him. He literally abandoned us when we were about to be deployed to Iraq. He’s a coward and should be treated as such.”

It’s truly astounding how Democrats can wax poetic about Walz’s military service while ignoring the elephant in the room: his avoidance of actual combat and the desertion of his unit. Meanwhile, JD Vance, a Marine who served in Iraq, gets dismissed or outright ignored. It’s almost like facts don’t matter when you’re busy spinning a narrative.

Stay tuned for more political theater, folks. The Democrats’ ability to rewrite history and overlook inconvenient truths never ceases to amaze.
