Country star Morgan Wallen has shattered a record previously held by pop icon Taylor Swift. Wallen’s latest hit, “I Had Some Help,” a collaboration with Post Malone, has secured the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart for an impressive 19 weeks, surpassing Swift and Roddy Rich’s 18-week record. This achievement marks Wallen as a significant force in the music industry this decade.
A fan account of Post Malone shared on X that the Wallen collaboration “has returned to #1 on the US Spotify chart in its 27th day, gaining 3,125,853 streams.” Fans of the “Whiskey Glasses” singer were ecstatic, flooding social media with praise and labeling Wallen as the “GOAT” (Greatest Of All Time).
“He’s the hottest artist right now,” one fan wrote. “And he’s got everything lined up for it to stay that way for a long time. Everything he puts out is better than the last – it’s amazing to watch his trajectory. Love it!!”
Another fan added, “GOAT.” While a third person commented, “Good Taylor hasn’t been good since she was country in my opinion I don’t get the hype at all. All her songs sound like a whin-y spoken word poem.”
This isn’t the first time Wallen has bested Swift on the charts. His latest album, “One Thing At A Time,” broke Swift’s record for the most songs on the Streaming Songs chart at once, with 36 tracks claiming 30 spots. However, Swift reclaimed some of her glory with her album “The Tortured Poets Department,” which took 31 spots on the streaming chart.

However, the record-breaking news comes amid Wallen’s recent brush with the law. He was arrested for reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct after throwing a chair off the roof of Chief’s bar in downtown Nashville on April 7.
Addressing the incident, Wallen stated, “I didn’t feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks. I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I’m not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility.”
He added, “I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe. Regarding my tour, there will be no change.”
Despite the controversy, Wallen’s career trajectory continues to soar.
