House Passes Resolution

On Tuesday, House Republicans banded together with 14 brave Democrats to pass a resolution that condemned President Biden’s disastrous immigration policies.

The resolution, introduced by Rep. Monica De La Cruz, a Texas Republican, called out both Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for creating the “worst border security crisis in the Nation’s history.”

The resolution was a strong rebuke of Biden’s weak and chaotic approach to border security. Democrats and Republicans alike have been sounding the alarm over the surge of illegal immigrants flooding across our southern border since Biden took office.

This resolution sends a clear message to the Biden administration that their negligent and misguided policies are not only failing to address the problem but are actively making it worse.

One of the main concerns with the Biden administration’s immigration policies is their handling of asylum seekers. Their open-door approach has encouraged countless migrants to make the dangerous journey to our border, leading to overcrowded facilities and a humanitarian crisis.

Furthermore, the resolution accuses the Biden administration of deliberately violating U.S. immigration law by refusing to detain inadmissible aliens at the border. This is a blatant disregard for the rule of law and shows a dangerous willingness to bend our laws to fit their political agenda.

While Democrats in Congress have been hesitant to take action against Biden’s policies, a newly created task force on border security held its first press conference on Tuesday, calling for bipartisan solutions to the crisis. This is a small step in the right direction, but ultimately it will take bold action from Congress to address the root causes of the border crisis and provide real solutions.

It’s no surprise that Speaker Mike Johnson has made fighting the border crisis a top priority. He has led the charge in the House, taking a group of over 60 Republicans to the border earlier this year to shed light on the severity of the situation. He has also championed the historic vote to impeach Mayorkas, sending a powerful message that this administration’s failures will not go unnoticed.

The numbers speak for themselves – almost 7.3 million illegal immigrants have crossed our border since Biden took office. This is a crisis of epic proportions, and it’s time for the Biden administration to take real action to secure our border, protect American citizens, and uphold our laws. The passage of this resolution is a step in the right direction, but there is still much work to be done to fix the mess that Biden has created.
