Another member of Fox News has at least one foot out the door.

Geraldo Rivera, 79, has announced that he is leaving “The Five” and that his last scheduled appearances with be on June 29 and 30.

“Morning, it’s official, I’m off @TheFive. My last scheduled show appearances are Thursday and Friday June 29th and 30th. It’s been a great run and I appreciate having had the opportunity. Being odd man out isn’t always easy. For the time being, I’m still Correspondent at Large,” the Fox News personality wrote.

Rivera often got into with host Greg Gutfeld, whose late night show is killing it.

The departure came a couple of weeks after Gutfeld took Rivera to task over comments he made about Tucker Carlson.

“I don’t wish ill on anybody, but there is no doubt—as I said at the time—Tucker Carlson’s perverse January 6 conspiracy theory was ‘bullshit,’” Rivera wrote on Twitter. “Having lost the election President Trump incited an insurrection that sought to undermine our Constitutional process.” Rivera wrote on social media.

“You’re a class act Geraldo. A real man of the people,” Gutfeld mocked in response.

On May 4, 2023, Rivera complained that he had been “canceled.”

“My appearances today and tomorrow on The Five have been canceled,” Rivera tweeted. “I’m sure there’s a good reason. Never fear, I’ll be back week after next. Stay safe and happy. Thanks 🙏”

In actuality Rivera was a rotating host.

Fox also reported that Rivera was never scheduled to be on the show in the first place.

Maybe Rivera is trying to audition at CNN?
