The Biden administration let her form guidelines and keep kids home.

She’s been on the front lines of trying to stop parents from taking over schools boards and now she’s been appointed to advise the Department of Homeland Security.

That’s right.

American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten has been put on the new DHS school safety advisory council to make “recommendations on emergency management, preparedness measures, and safety and security in schools.”

“Leaders of our academic institutions and campus life have a great deal to offer in helping us counter the evolving and emerging threats to the homeland,” DHS Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas said in a statement.

“The Homeland Security Academic Partnership Council’s insights into strategic research, innovation, career development, and partnership opportunities for the Department will support our mission to safeguard the American people, and help our country think through and prepare for whatever threats lie ahead. I am grateful to each of the twenty Council members I am appointing today for their willingness to serve, and I look forward to receiving their guidance and recommendations,” Mayorkas added.

Since the pandemic, there has been a grass movement of parents getting involved and winning school board elections. Between school curriculum and policies during the pandemic parents weren’t happen and started to win school board positions to create change in their communities.

That has been a thorn in the side of the Biden administration.

In October of 2021, the Biden administration received massive blowback when they mobilized.

From the New York Post on October 5, 2021:

Parents and politicians are slamming the Department of Justice’s decision to bring in the FBI to investigate a spike in “threats against school administrators, board members, teachers, and staff,” saying the Biden administration is likening their protests of “woke” policies such as Critical Race Theory — as well as mandatory mask wearing — to “domestic terrorism.”

The Biden administration quickly backed down however, now they appear to be ramping things up as parents continue to win school board positions and beating back liberal policy at the community level.
