It doesn’t get much more Hollywood than this: a producer for big-name films, including American Sniper, going off on a conservative woman in public with a tirade that’s as ugly as it is ironic. Peter Morgan, a Kamala Harris supporter, was caught on video last Friday hurling vile insults at conservative influencer Emily Wilson simply because she was wearing a pair of MAGA-themed shoes. Yes, red shoes with “MAGA” were enough to trigger this Oscar-nominated producer into a full meltdown that’s now making waves online.
The video, which has since gone viral, shows Morgan spotting Wilson’s shoes and launching into an attack. At one point, he actually told her she “definitely [had] been raped” and even suggested that she deserved it. Wilson, who was clearly stunned by the vitriol, asked him to clarify if he really thought she deserved to be raped for her political beliefs.
Morgan didn’t back down. “You’re wearing MAGA shoes in West Hollywood,” he sneered as if that explained everything. He went on to rant about Donald Trump being a “rapist” (despite Trump having no criminal rape convictions) and peppered his insults with words unfit for publication.

Hollywood elites like Morgan have long been vocal about supporting “women’s rights” and championing the causes of the “marginalized.” But here he is, telling a woman she deserves sexual violence because she’s conservative. The hypocrisy is rich, and Wilson wasn’t about to let him get away with it. She posted the video on social media, adding her own commentary on how liberals, especially those in Hollywood, seem to preach tolerance while actively wishing harm on anyone who disagrees with them.

The backlash was swift. Morgan’s social media accounts were quickly deactivated, but not before users captured screenshots of his disturbing posts on Threads, where he’s repeatedly fixated on topics of rape and violence, particularly aimed at Trump and his supporters. For a man who claims to stand for “progress” and “decency,” his online history says otherwise.

The irony couldn’t be clearer. This Hollywood producer, who once worked on American Sniper alongside conservative legend Clint Eastwood, is out in public shaming a woman for her political leanings in the most grotesque way possible. If the roles were reversed and a MAGA supporter had made similar comments, you can bet the outrage machine would be firing on all cylinders.
The double standard here is glaring. Hollywood liberals like Morgan talk a big game about inclusion and respect, but that respect is only extended to people who think exactly like them. And if you don’t? Well, prepare to be told you “deserve” terrible things. So much for Hollywood’s moral high ground.
