Trump Stops At McDonald’s In PA

Oh, the outrage! Democrats and the liberal media are losing their minds because Donald Trump dared to—gasp—work a shift at McDonald’s.

Over the weekend, Rep. Barbara Lee (CA) and MSNBC’s Alex Witt teamed up to critique Trump’s McDonald’s pit stop in the Philadelphia area, where the former president fried up some food and served his supporters before heading to a Steelers game. According to them, it was all a “stunt” with “no logic.” Really? That’s their take?

Let’s break it down. Trump stops at a McDonald’s, one of the most recognizable symbols of working-class America, and connects with people in a way Democrats could only dream of. The result? Iconic photos, viral clips, and a clear reminder that Trump still knows how to engage with regular Americans. But instead of recognizing the genius in it, Witt and Lee get all high and mighty, questioning the logic. The logic, Alex? Maybe the “logic” is showing voters he’s still the same guy who eats fast food and doesn’t shy away from meeting people where they are.

Barbara Lee, of course, took it one step further, calling it “bizarre” and claiming Trump doesn’t have an economic agenda. This is where it gets laughable. Trump literally ran on economic issues in 2016 and turned the economy around before the pandemic hit, with historically low unemployment and record growth. Compare that to the Biden-Harris economy, where inflation is making it nearly impossible for families to afford groceries and gas. But sure, Lee, let’s pretend Trump has no economic plan.

“It’s a stunt. He has not put forth an economic agenda,” she falsely stated. “He, as you know, appears to be not well. And, he’s engaged in some really bizarre types of activities during this campaign.”

“So, this is just another one of those stunts that he will continue on through the campaign, and I think we really need to really focus on making sure that he is not elected of course,” she claimed.

And let’s not forget why Trump was there in the first place—taking a swipe at Vice President Kamala Harris, who claimed she worked at McDonald’s when she was younger. Funny thing, though, she’s never produced a shred of evidence to back it up. So, Trump shows up at McDonald’s, works the fryer, and throws a zinger: “I’ve now worked 15 minutes more than Kamala.” It’s classic Trump, and the crowd ate it up (pun intended). Meanwhile, Harris is off somewhere talking about “equity” on podcasts.

Let’s face it, this whole “it’s a stunt” line is the Left trying to cover up their own inability to connect with voters on a real, personal level. Trump goes to McDonald’s, and the place erupts in excitement. When’s the last time you saw anyone get that excited about Kamala? They’re calling it a stunt because they know it works, and they hate it. Maybe instead of sneering at Trump for flipping burgers, the Democrats should try serving up something that actually resonates with the American people. But hey, that would require some actual logic.
