Hello everyone! Today’s story begins with Corey Lewandowski, a familiar name from his time as an informal adviser to Donald Trump during his inaugural campaign. Rumor has it that he’s preparing to join the senior leadership team of Trump’s current campaign, according to an unidentified source.
As Trump’s efforts to solidify his position in the presidential race intensify, his campaign is enhancing its roster with key allies. Lewandowski, who managed Trump’s 2016 campaign, is a notable addition. However, sources within the campaign have clarified that this move is more about augmenting the campaign’s management as the election draws nearer rather than a significant overhaul.
But Lewandowski isn’t the only new addition. Tim Murtaugh, former communications director for Trump’s 2020 campaign, is also expected to join. Other newcomers include Alex Pfeiffer and Alex Bruesewitz, both of whom have held notable positions in the MAGA Inc. super PAC, a political action committee aligned with Trump’s values. Bruesewitz also has a substantial social media following.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Taylor Budowich, who formerly led MAGA Inc., has moved to a senior position within the Trump campaign. As the election nears, the campaign is growing, with senior aides stating, “As we head into the home stretch of this election, we are continuing to add to our impressive campaign team.”
For those unfamiliar with Lewandowski, he is recognized for his close ties to Trump. He was the first campaign manager for Trump’s 2016 run but was later dismissed during the Republican primary season. Following this, Lewandowski took on a role as a political commentator.
Before joining Trump’s circle, Lewandowski had a diverse political career, having worked on numerous campaigns with the conservative advocacy group Americans for Prosperity and even as a lobbyist. He made two unsuccessful attempts to run for office.
However, in September 2021, allegations of Lewandowski making inappropriate advances towards a Trump donor’s wife surfaced. Following these reports, a spokesperson announced Lewandowski’s disassociation with Trump World.
Now, with less than 100 days till the 2024 presidential election, Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, are preparing for a campaign tour across key battleground states.
In light of Joe Biden’s underwhelming debate performance, the Democrats appointed Harris as the nominee, sensing their chances slipping.
