Well, isn’t this a twist? It looks like Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who’s made a name for herself going after high-profile figures like Donald Trump, is now dealing with a legal issue a little closer to home.
Her 25-year-old daughter, Kinaya Willis, was arrested last month for driving with a suspended license. According to reports, Kinaya was pulled over in Tyrone, Georgia, for using her cell phone while driving. When the police ran her info, they discovered that her license had been suspended since May—apparently a detail Kinaya “was unaware” of.
And if that wasn’t enough drama, Kinaya, who’s reportedly pregnant, told officers that she was using her phone because her mother, Fani Willis herself, was calling her about her pregnancy. As for the family car? Well, it seems Fani Willis didn’t waste any time showing up to the scene to personally retrieve her daughter’s 2010 Nissan Altima. Guess being the district attorney has its perks, even if you’re not the one in trouble.
Kinaya was arrested, booked on a misdemeanor charge, and taken to the Fayette County Jail, where she had a mugshot snapped. She’s now facing a maximum of two days in jail and a fine of up to $500, along with a possible six-month extension on her suspended license. Not exactly the kind of headlines you want when your mom is already in the national spotlight.

As for Fani Willis, her own legal battles are heating up. She’s been leading the charge in a racketeering case against Donald Trump over the 2020 election, though that case has been put on hold while the Georgia Court of Appeals decides if she should even be involved due to alleged impropriety. Seems like the entire Willis household is tangled up in legal woes these days.
