Vice President Kamala Harris has Democrats cringing and was mocked after giving a “patronizing” speech.

Even the Washington Post said the speech was awkward and uncomfortable.

Harris was giving remarks in a Congressional Space Medal of Honor ceremony in honor of former astronaut Douglas Hurley and Robert Behnken. The men were being honored for the mission aboard the first astronaut-manned capsule.

The problem was how she described it.

“Which brings me to May 30, 2020. Bob and Doug returned to the Kennedy Space Center. They suited up. They waved to their families, and they rode an elevator up nearly 20 stories. They strapped in to their seats and waited as the tanks beneath filled with tens of thousands of gallons of fuel. And then they launched. Yeah, they did,” Harris said, which was included with her trademark cackle.

Many were wondering if a five-year-old wrote her speech.

“Kamala Harris on astronauts: ‘They strapped in to their seats and waited as the tanks beneath them filled with tens of thousands of gallons of fuel. And then they launched! Yeah, they did!’ It’s like a 5-year old wrote this,” Ted Cruz communications advisor Steve Guest said.

The Vice President was also roasted in 2021 when she took part in a NASA video for kids.

“You know, one of the most important pieces of advice that I can offer you guys, and I want you to really remember this: Never let anybody tell you who you are, you tell them who you are,” Harris said in the video. “Never let anybody suggest to you that you are what they think you should be, you tell them who you are and who you know you are, and what you intend to be. Got that?”

Harris also described her excitement for science in the same fashion.

“You’re gonna literally see the craters on the moon with your own eyes!” Harris exclaimed. “With your own eyes! I’m telling you, it is gonna be unbelievable,” she added.

Kamala’s remarks were just weird.

Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert may have the right idea.
