This time, it’s Judge Hannah Dugan of Milwaukee County, who’s found herself on the wrong side of a federal indictment for allegedly doing what every woke benchwarmer seems determined to do these days: shield illegal immigrants from the consequences of breaking the law.

Now, we’re not talking about someone helping a confused traveler find the right courtroom here. According to the indictment, Dugan didn’t just overstep—she steamrolled the line. After being explicitly informed that there was an administrative arrest warrant for a Mexican national, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz—who, by the way, wasn’t just in the country illegally but was also involved in a domestic violence case—Judge Dugan allegedly decided to help him evade law enforcement by sneaking him out a side door. Through the jury door. Let that sink in.

This isn’t some Hollywood courtroom drama. This is a sitting judge, charged with upholding the law, accused of aiding a criminal suspect in slipping past federal agents who were literally standing outside her courtroom. According to the criminal complaint, Dugan was “visibly upset” and “angry” at the officers, confronting them as if they were the problem instead of the man facing a domestic violence charge.

But of course, her attorneys were quick to do the whole solemn-face press release routine, saying she’s “committed to the rule of law” and “looks forward to being vindicated.” Oh, please. That’s the equivalent of robbing a bank and claiming you’re committed to financial stability. Commitment to the law means you enforce it, not sabotage it because it offends your personal ideology.

And let’s be clear here—this isn’t just about immigration. This is about undermining the legal system from the inside. When judges start acting like social workers with gavels, using their courtrooms as safe spaces for lawbreakers, we’re in serious trouble. Imagine the outcry if a conservative judge had pulled a similar stunt—let’s say, escorted someone wanted by the IRS or the ATF out the back door because they didn’t agree with the enforcement. Democrats would be foaming at the mouth and demanding impeachment by lunchtime.

But because Dugan was allegedly helping an illegal immigrant—well, to the left, that’s just “compassionate jurisprudence.” And if the suspect happened to have a violent rap sheet? Just a minor detail. After all, in today’s progressive playbook, the real villain is anyone enforcing immigration law, not the people breaking it.

Kudos to the Trump administration and AG Pam Bondi for cutting through the nonsense and saying what the rest of the country is thinking: Shame on her. This isn’t just a lapse in judgment. It’s a betrayal of the oath Dugan swore when she took the bench. And the fact that it involved a domestic violence case makes it even worse. She didn’t just undermine ICE. She potentially put victims in greater danger to score political points with the open borders crowd.

The Wisconsin Supreme Court was absolutely right to suspend her. Frankly, it’s the bare minimum. If the allegations hold, this isn’t just grounds for removal—it’s a textbook case of criminal obstruction. No one is above the law, not even (or especially) a judge who thinks her robe grants her immunity from the rules the rest of us are expected to follow.

So while Dugan and her team prep their courtroom theatrics, the rest of us will be watching to see whether justice finally swings back in the direction of, well, justice. Because if even judges can help criminals walk free while wearing the mask of virtue, then our entire legal system starts to look more like a political theater than a place where laws are respected.
