It looks like President Biden couldn’t keep his true feelings under wraps forever. During a stop in New Hampshire, Biden let slip what everyone’s already known: he really wants Donald Trump behind bars. In front of a small crowd, Biden blurted out, “We gotta lock him up,” before awkwardly trying to backpedal, claiming he actually meant “lock him out” politically. Sure, Joe, whatever you say.
For years, Biden’s White House has tried to play innocent, denying any involvement in the legal attacks on Trump, but this latest gaffe gives the game away. Biden may have tried to clean up his mess, but the damage was done. After all, this isn’t the first time Biden has hinted that he’s willing to go to extreme lengths to prevent Trump from making a comeback. Remember back in November 2022, when Biden ominously vowed to ensure Trump “does not become the next president again”? Well, that seemed to signal the start of what can only be described as a lawfare assault on Trump.

Coincidence or not, within days of that pledge, the legal system went into overdrive. November 18, 2022, became a date to remember—or perhaps to forget if you’re on the receiving end of the legal blitzkrieg. U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland conveniently appointed Special Counsel Jack Smith to investigate Trump. Meanwhile, former DOJ official Matthew Colangelo left his cushy federal gig to join Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg’s office, where he magically revived a case that had all but fizzled. And let’s not forget Nathan Wade, the Fulton County prosecutor whose sole purpose was to go after Trump—because clearly, going after Trump is what matters most in Georgia these days.
Sure, Biden keeps insisting he’s not pulling the strings behind the scenes, but let’s be real here. We’re supposed to believe that the timing of all these legal moves, right after Trump announced his 2024 run, is purely a coincidence? Not likely. Special Counsel Smith’s creative legal theories have hit roadblocks, with one of his Florida cases already dismissed. Colangelo managed to secure some flashy felony convictions, but even those are shaky and could be overturned on appeal. As for Wade? His prosecution in Georgia is a mess, and oh, he’s now off the case because of his cozy little relationship with DA Fani Willis.

And let’s not forget the endless attempts to block Trump from even appearing on the ballot using the dubious 14th Amendment argument. Thankfully, the Supreme Court put a stop to that nonsense. But all this shows just how desperate the left is to stop Trump. They’re not satisfied with trying to beat him at the ballot box; they’re pulling out every trick in the book to make sure he never gets there.

So, while Biden tries to play it cool and claim it’s all about “locking him out politically,” we see the real game. Biden may have let the mask slip, but we’ve known all along: this is about more than politics. It’s about fear. The Democrats are terrified of a Trump comeback, and they’re willing to throw the rulebook out the window to stop him.
