Hello everyone! Let’s dive into a hot topic that’s causing quite a stir. The Biden campaign has reportedly set up a special task force to tackle the impact of videos showing the President in less-than-ideal moments.
White House aides are growing increasingly sensitive about videos of President Joe Biden. These videos often highlight his age, occasional gaffes, and moments of confusion. This sensitivity has even led to some disagreements with media allies over how these incidents are covered.
In response to a particularly awkward moment captured on video, the White House coined the term “cheap fakes.” This term came about after a video surfaced showing former President Barack Obama guiding Biden off stage when he appeared to freeze at a fundraiser. It’s an attempt to label and diminish the credibility of such clips.

Another instance from June 13 showed Biden seemingly wandering off in Europe before Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni redirected him back to the group of world leaders watching a skydiving show. And then there was the Juneteenth event video where Vice President Kamala Harris and others were dancing while Biden stood still, staring blankly with an empty smile.

To address these “cheap fakes,” a Biden official told Politico’s West Wing Playbook that a task force was established to mitigate their impact. The campaign emphasizes that social media companies and media allies also have a role in reducing the reach and influence of these videos.
“Voters deserve accurate information to inform their choice this November,” said Biden campaign spokesperson Mia Ehrenberg. “Our campaign will be vigilant in calling out these lies when we see them. We hope media organizations and others with influential platforms follow our lead.”
However, not everyone is convinced by this “cheap fake” narrative. Steven Cheung, Trump’s Campaign Communications Director, told Breitbart News that these videos of Biden malfunctioning are indeed real.
“The truth hurts,” Cheung remarked. “When the Biden campaign is confronted with that cold, hard reality, they offer ridiculous claims that anyone who clearly sees Biden acting like a brain-dead dope is part of some media-wide conspiracy.”
So, folks, there you have it. The battle over Biden’s public image is heating up as we head towards the November elections. Stay tuned and keep an eye out for more developments in this political drama!
