On June 12, 2023, President Joe Biden’s Twitter social media account posted a video that has caused outrage on both sides.
“To the LGBTQI+ Community – the Biden-Harris Administration has your back,” said the caption of the post.
The video showed the White House displaying Pride colors and captioning the President’s words during an address.
“These are our kids. These are our neighbors. Not somebody else’s kids; they’re all our kids. And our children are the kite strings that hold our national ambitions aloft. It matters a great deal how we treat everyone in this country,” the president says over top dramatic music.
“LGBTQI+ Americans, especially children, You are loved. You are heard and this Administration has your back,” concluded the video.

Liberal moderate Alex Berenson fumed over the video.
“Keep your hands off my kids. We’ll go from there,” Berenson wrote.
So many modern splits, but the most fundamental is between the (mostly) childless who think it takes a village –
And the real parents who know no village, no government program, and no paid caregiver can substitute for them.

“You are the government, they are not your kids,” Elon Musk wrote in reply to the video.

The President and the Dems have begun to slowly undercut parental rights.

At the same time a controversial bill is being considered in California that would punish parents that do not affirm their child if they are claim to be transgender.
From the Washington Free Beacon:
The bill, which has already passed the State Assembly, would require judges adjudicating such disputes over transgender-identifying children to favor the parent who “affirms” the child’s preferred identity. Earlier this week, the authors released an updated version that specifically defines “the health, safety, and welfare” of a child to include “a parent’s affirmation of the child’s gender identity”—a change that the bill’s opponents worry will open the door to non-affirmation being treated as abuse.
Below is how California ABC Affiliate Eyewitness 7 framed the amendment to the bill.
Well, that’s a heck of a way to put it.
From ABC7:
AB 957 encourages parents who support their TGI children by “making it clear that affirming a child’s gender identity is part of the health, safety, and welfare of the child.”
It also allows courts to consider a parent’s affirmation of their child’s gender identity when making decisions about visitation and custody.
But if you keep reading down the page, the true intentions come out.
The bill will also require courts to “strongly consider” that affirming a child’s gender identity is “in the best interest of the child” when one parent doesn’t consent to a child’s legal name change to conform with the child’s gender identity.
It would also classify parents in custody battles as abusive if they refuse to affirm their child’s gender identity.
There you have it.
