President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline was on full display during a recent meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. The normally scripted and choreographed event turned into a circus as Biden struggled to read notes, stay on topic, and even remember what century he is in.
Biden’s confusion started before the meeting even began, as he appeared to be having a “Weekend at Bernie’s” moment while meeting with Kishida. He had to rely on a teleprompter at his lectern while Kishida confidently answered questions without any notes. It’s becoming clear that Biden’s team is heavily relying on pre-written speeches and notes to guide him through even the simplest of tasks.

The press conference that followed was no better. Biden was almost an hour late, which is not a good sign for a man who is known for his punctuality. When he finally did show up, it was apparent that he was struggling. He even had to ask his handlers for a list of pre-selected reporters to call on, highlighting just how much is being prepared for him in advance.

As he began to answer questions, it became apparent that he was not only reading from pre-written notes, but he was also reading verbatim from them. Throughout the entire press conference, Biden could be seen glancing down at his notes for every answer, even when the question was simplistic. This raises serious concerns about his mental capacity to handle the duties of the presidency.

In addition to his confusion and reliance on notes, Biden also struggled with facts and figures. When asked about inflation, he claimed that they had “dramatically reduced inflation,” when in fact, it has actually risen under his leadership. He also falsely claimed that there is no ban on the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Japan, even though it is impacting their country directly.

It’s clear that Biden’s mental state is deteriorating, and it’s dangerous for someone in such a position of power to be so out of touch with reality. This is not the first time he has struggled in public, and it won’t be the last. It’s time for his handlers and the media to stop covering for him and address the real issue at hand – his lack of capacity to lead the country. The American people deserve a president who is mentally sound and capable of performing the duties of the job, and it’s clear that Joe Biden is not that president.
