Bash Comments On Kamala’s Talking Points

Well, well, well, it looks like even CNN is having a tough time stomaching Kamala Harris’ never-ending parade of empty talking points. Dana Bash didn’t hold back during a Wednesday panel, sarcastically suggesting that you could turn Harris’ repetitive campaign rhetoric into a “drinking game.” Honestly, she’s not wrong. The phrase “small business” gets thrown around so much in Harris’ speeches that you’d be under the table before she even finished talking.

“When you listen to Kamala Harris and what she will do, you can almost start a drinking game every time she says ‘small businesses,’” Bash said. “Let me give you an example.”

Bash rolled out a clip of Harris going on about her so-called “opportunity economy.” And—shocker—within 20 seconds, Harris managed to say “small business” twice. Twice! We get it, Kamala, you’re all about small businesses. But guess what? Saying the words over and over doesn’t magically make grocery bills shrink or gas prices drop back to what they were in 2019. Where’s the actual plan?

Now, Dave Weigel from Semafor chimed in, pointing out what’s painfully obvious to everyone except the Biden-Harris team: voters are asking, “What are you going to do to lower prices?”

Weigel responded to Bash, saying, “Well, she says that, and she also talks about being a middle-class kid. That’s also at the front of her answers. If you look at the interviews they’ve been doing with local media, and they’ve opened up a bit more since the debate, the first question is often, ‘What are you going to do to lower prices?’”

And surprise, surprise—Kamala doesn’t have an answer. Sure, inflation might not be at the “two years ago” levels, but people don’t care about that—they care about what they’re paying today. And when it comes to the Democrats’ plan? Crickets. Harris will just keep rattling off buzzwords like “small businesses” and “middle-class kid” while completely dodging the real issues.

Meanwhile, Trump’s out there with actual answers—mass deportations to lower demand and exploring more energy to bring down costs. Love him or hate him, at least he’s got a strategy. Harris? She’s too busy memorizing her catchphrases and trying to be a chameleon to come up with anything remotely useful.

So, here we are. The Democrats are left pointing fingers and talking in circles while Harris keeps recycling the same stale lines. But hey, if you need a fun party game, just pop on one of her speeches and take a shot every time she says “small business.” Just make sure you’ve got an Uber on standby.
