Rachel Vindman’s recent social media outburst over not receiving a pardon from Joe Biden is almost too rich to believe.
In a melodramatic post on Bluesky, she declared that her family wasn’t offered or even considered for a pardon, and she just can’t get over the “betrayal” and “hurt” she feels. Really, Rachel? Betrayal? Hurt? It’s almost as if she expected Biden to whip out a pardon for her husband, Alexander Vindman, as a parting gift for their “contributions” to the country. Newsflash: the American people didn’t exactly see Alex Vindman as a hero—they saw him as the guy who tried to undermine a sitting president.
Let’s not forget why Alexander Vindman is even a household name. He was the so-called whistleblower whose testimony played a starring role in President Trump’s first impeachment. Vindman made it his mission to paint Trump as a villain over the infamous Ukraine phone call. And how did that work out? Trump was acquitted, Vindman was fired in February 2020, and he later resigned from the U.S. Army that July. But hey, at least it got him a Netflix documentary and some social media clout, right?
Now fast-forward to the final days of Biden’s presidency, where he handed out pardons like Oprah handing out cars. Dr. Anthony Fauci, General Mark Milley, members of the January 6th committee, and even five of Biden’s own family members all got their golden tickets. But the Vindman clan? Nothing. Apparently, even Biden decided to pass on that one, which speaks volumes considering the low bar for his clemency spree. If Fauci, Milley, and Hunter Biden can all get a free pass, and Vindman still doesn’t make the cut, it’s safe to say the door on his chapter is firmly closed.
Rachel Vindman’s sense of entitlement, however, knows no bounds. She claims to feel “betrayed” by Biden, but why? Does she really think the American people are clamoring for her family’s redemption arc? Her husband’s role in Trump’s impeachment didn’t exactly endear him to millions of voters, and the Biden administration clearly didn’t see any reason to throw them a lifeline. If anything, Biden’s cold shoulder proves that the Vindmans are political tools that have outlived their usefulness. Harsh? Maybe. True? Absolutely.

And let’s not forget Rachel’s own questionable judgment. After an assassination attempt on Trump during a July 13 rally in Pennsylvania, she posted on X (formerly Twitter), “No ears were harmed. Carry on with your Sunday afternoon.” Yep, she casually joked about a former president almost being assassinated. Sure, she deleted the post and apologized after the backlash, but the damage was done. If you’re going to cry about betrayal and political civility, maybe don’t be the person who makes flippant remarks about violence against your political opponents.

The Vindmans’ “betrayal” saga is just another example of how the political left eats its own. They spent years bashing Trump, riding the wave of media adoration, and playing the victim card, only to be tossed aside by the very people they were rooting for. Biden’s decision not to pardon them speaks volumes about where they stand in the hierarchy of Democratic priorities: nowhere.
So here we are, with Rachel Vindman nursing her wounds on Bluesky while the rest of America collectively shrugs. If she was expecting sympathy, she might want to look elsewhere. For the rest of us, it’s just another reminder that karma has a funny way of working itself out.
