Well, here we are again — Democrats caught red-handed playing fast and loose with immigration law, only this time it’s not a fringe activist or some nameless bureaucrat. Nope. It’s a sitting judge — or at least was — from Milwaukee County, arrested by the FBI for allegedly helping an illegal migrant skip out on ICE. That’s right, folks: Judge Hannah Dugan, sworn to uphold the law, decided it was more important to play underground railroad for criminal border crossers than actually do her job.
Now let’s break this down. Federal agents were at the courthouse — not some dark alley, not sneaking around a playground — but in a courtroom, trying to arrest a migrant facing violence-related charges. And instead of respecting the presence of law enforcement, Dugan allegedly pulls a little cloak-and-dagger move, whispering directions to the migrant and his lawyer so they could dodge the agents and slip out another way. If this were a scene in a movie, you’d expect the music to shift and the spy montage to begin. But it’s not a movie. It’s real life. And that illegal migrant wasn’t late on parking tickets — he was in court for serious charges.
Of course, the Wisconsin Supreme Court — run by Democrats — finally stepped in and suspended her. But let’s not get too excited. She’s suspended from her duties, yes, but still cashing in that sweet $170,000 taxpayer-funded salary while she enjoys what amounts to a fully paid vacation. Because nothing says accountability like “here’s a six-figure check while we wait to see if you’re convicted of obstructing federal law.”

The left’s response? Predictable. Her legal team whined that her arrest wasn’t “in the interest of public safety.” Excuse me? She allegedly interfered with ICE agents trying to arrest a violent offender — you know, the kind of guy whose “undocumented” status becomes a footnote after he does real damage in someone’s neighborhood. But apparently, it’s not about safety — it’s about feelings. It’s about “disappointment” and “protesting the arrest.” Meanwhile, the rest of us are left wondering why law-abiding Americans get fewer breaks than foreign nationals violating federal law and judges helping them do it.
Let’s also talk about priorities here. When did aiding and abetting someone ICE is lawfully pursuing become an act of resistance worthy of legal defense? Imagine the outrage if a conservative judge told someone how to duck a federal warrant — it would be breaking news for weeks, complete with breathless MSNBC panels and “democracy in crisis” headlines. But when it’s a Democrat judge? We get carefully worded legal statements and half-hearted coverage.
And don’t miss the irony here. The left, who spent four years howling about the rule of law, checks and balances, and no one being above the law, is now suddenly silent — or worse, sympathetic — when one of their own undermines federal enforcement in broad daylight. It’s not just hypocrisy; it’s moral acrobatics that would make Simone Biles blush.
Cable news remains far to the left even of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Anyone who had read the indictment knew she was cooked. It’s not even a close call. Democrats going all in on this was one of many blessings, which we need as the GOP other than Trump is on sabbatical. https://t.co/o9F0FLJUYZ

Here’s a crazy idea: if you don’t like immigration law, change it the right way — through legislation. Don’t abuse your bench to shield people from lawful detention. Don’t turn courthouses into escape routes. And maybe, just maybe, don’t act shocked when the FBI knocks on your door.
Wild! Attorney General Pam Bondi explains what really happened with Milwaukee Judge Hannah Dugan that led to her arrest by FBI:

So now Judge Dugan sits in legal limbo, awaiting trial, while Wisconsin taxpayers foot the bill for her absence. One can only hope the justice system she once presided over holds her to the same standard she tried to ignore. Because if protecting our borders and upholding the law still mean anything, we can’t let judicial activism turn into a get-out-of-jail-free card for the illegal and the untouchable.
