Oh, what’s this? ActBlue—the Democrats’ fundraising machine that has vacuumed up billions in small-dollar donations—is suddenly in “turmoil” as its top officials start running for the exits? It’s almost as if something is very wrong behind the scenes. And wouldn’t you know it, Republicans in Congress just so happen to be investigating the platform for shady financial dealings, potential foreign interference, and good old-fashioned fraud. What a coincidence.

At least seven senior officials bolted from ActBlue in February, including longtime customer service and partnerships directors. One of them, Alyssa Twomey, posted some vague, corporate-speak farewell about needing “rest” and taking an “intentional pause.” Sure. Because people just walk away from a multi-billion-dollar political money-printing operation for self-care in the middle of an election cycle.

Meanwhile, the organization is trying to put on a brave face, claiming they’re just “transitioning” into the new election cycle with a “strong team.” Right. Because when unions inside your own organization send a “blistering letter” to your board about an “alarming pattern” of top officials abandoning ship, that totally screams everything is fine.

The reality is, Republicans in Congress are circling like sharks, and ActBlue knows it. The House Administration Committee, led by Rep. Bryan Steil, has been digging into how the platform handles donor verification and whether it’s been used as a vehicle for laundering foreign money into U.S. elections. This isn’t some wild conspiracy theory—it’s an actual, legitimate concern. In fact, ActBlue itself admitted last year that it had been accepting donations without requiring credit card verification values (CVVs)—a glaring security loophole that practically invites fraudulent transactions.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has also weighed in, accusing ActBlue of failing to screen out “straw donors”—meaning people who funnel money through others to bypass campaign finance laws. If true, that’s a massive scandal. You’d think the people who never stop hyperventilating about “protecting democracy” would care about shady money potentially influencing elections. But since this is benefiting their side, they’d rather look the other way.

And let’s talk numbers. ActBlue has pulled in an estimated $1.5 billion from 7 million donors, with an absurd amount flowing into high-profile races like Kamala Harris’s campaign. In just a few days, Harris raked in $200 million through ActBlue. That’s a whole lot of small-dollar donations—assuming, of course, they were all legitimate.

The Democrats and their media allies are already in damage-control mode, insisting there’s nothing to see here. ActBlue put out a statement saying they have “zero tolerance for fraud.” Cute. But if that were true, why did it take congressional pressure for them to start collecting CVVs in the first place? Why did they need a subpoena to even pretend to cooperate with the investigation?

Let’s be honest—if a Republican fundraising platform were under this level of scrutiny, the left would be screaming about dark money, corruption, and foreign interference 24/7. MSNBC would be running emergency coverage, and every Democratic senator would be demanding FBI raids. But since ActBlue is the Democrats’ cash cow, they’re all suddenly very quiet.
