Whoa, Nikki Haley, what are you doing? The former U.N. Ambassador has sparked major controversy with her recent remarks about Texas potentially seceding from the United States. During an interview with The Breakfast Club, Haley suggested that Texas could leave the union if it wanted to. Cue the gasps and uproar from the liberal media!
But hold on, Haley quickly clarified her statement during an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash on “State of the Union.” She made it very clear that she did not endorse the idea of Texas seceding.
“No one is talking about seceding. That’s not an issue at all,” she responded. “What we are talking about the fact is, here you have Governor Abbott and the people of Texas, who just want to be kept safe. They’re putting up barbed wire to keep people coming in. And the idea that the federal government is wanting to sue them and cut that barbed wire, when we’re trying to make sure that we keep people out, that’s a huge mistake.”
Nikki Haley just went on CNN to voice her support for a border deal that allows millions of illegals to pour into the country and gives billions to Ukraine. Instead of attacking Biden, Haley trashes President Trump for getting involved and “playing politics with the border”. pic.twitter.com/sI6JA5BXME

But let’s not overlook the real issue here – the crisis at the Texas border. Haley pointed out that this whole “secession” talk stemmed from Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s desperate attempt to secure the border and keep his citizens safe. Can you believe that the federal government is actually trying to sue Texas for doing so? It’s absolutely outrageous.
Many are attacking Haley and though she isn’t popular with Republican voters, the left, as usual, is missing the bigger picture – the failure of the Biden administration to address the border crisis. Texans and many others are frustrated and feel like the government is not listening to their concerns.
Nikki Haley has become a running joke:
“Haley, without Trump’s name even on the ballot, still loses to the ‘none’ option by better than two to one. She’s really getting clobbered with Republican voters.” pic.twitter.com/vtPtbwfHi8

And let’s not forget, this is not the first time Texas has toyed with the idea of secession. It’s been a topic of discussion for years, and Haley was simply acknowledging that fact. But the liberal media is quick to jump on any opportunity to bash a “conservative” and paint them as an extremist.
But here’s what we really need to focus on – the government’s duty to protect its citizens. Texans are not asking for anything outrageous. They just want to feel safe and secure in their homes. Is that too much to ask? And instead of working towards a solution, the Biden administration is more concerned with suing a state for trying to protect its borders. Pathetic.
