The anti-Trump forces were expecting a day of triumph and celebration as former President Donald Trump’s properties were set to be seized due to his ongoing legal battles. But the day didn’t quite go as planned for the liberal crowd.
In a surprise twist, the New York appellate court reduced the bond amount for Trump’s civil fraud case to $175 million and extended the deadline for payment by 10 days. While this is still a significant amount, it is a more achievable number and may indicate that the penalty will be reduced on appeal.
To add insult to injury for the anti-Trump crowd, it was revealed that Trump’s net worth has skyrocketed to $6.5 billion, making him one of the 500 wealthiest people in the world. This increase in wealth was due to a merger between Trump’s social media company, Trump Media & Technology Group, and a shell company, Digital World Acquisition Corp.
Unsurprisingly, the anti-Trump forces were incensed by these developments. They were quick to point out that Trump was getting “special treatment” by having his bond reduced and accused the court of having a “private system of justice” for him. But this goes to show their double standards and hypocrisy.
Yet again, @realDonaldTrump gets special treatment with his own private system of justice. The NY Appeals Court has decided to give Trump more time to pay less money by reducing his bond from $454M to $175 and giving him 10 days to get the money. FMR. NY ASST. AG ON TRUMP’S REDUCED BOND: “This is so infuriating I don’t even know what to do. I don’t even know if I care what the process is.”

In reality, Trump is being charged with things that aren’t normally charged and fined disproportionately for any damages incurred. If the liberal crowd truly cared about the rule of law, they should be just as outraged by this unfair treatment, regardless of their personal feelings toward Trump. But their blind hatred for the former president has clouded their judgment and made them lose all sense of fairness.
MSNBC legal commentator Tristan Snell summed up the left’s reaction perfectly by saying, “This is so infuriating, I don’t even know what to do.” He even admitted that the process may be flawed, but it didn’t matter because it was Trump.
The fact is that Trump is being given a fair chance to appeal the judgment against him, just like any other American would be given. But the anti-Trump forces can’t see past their own biases and continue to cry foul over anything positive that happens to the former president.
The reduced bond and increase in wealth for Trump may just be the beginning of a triumphant comeback for the former president. And for the anti-Trump crowd, it’s just another day of sour grapes and unmitigated rage.
