Accompanied by Minnesota Governor Walz, Harris began by highlighting the importance of our great nation and its status as a leading symbol of democracy globally. She emphasized the unique duality of democracy – its incredible strength when intact, contrasted by its profound fragility.
As Harris moved on to discuss how democracy serves its people, protecting their rights, liberties, and freedoms, online reactions to her statements started to heat up.
For instance, Greg Price, a recognized conservative digital strategist, amusingly commented, “Kamala word salads are so back,” suggesting her speeches can sometimes lack coherence. The End Wokeness account joined the conversation, stating, “This is why they don’t let Kamala speak without a script.”

The reactions didn’t end there. Florida Representative Mike Waltz chimed in to ask, “What does this even mean?” while radio talk show host Hugh Hewitt claimed that Harris has consistently struggled with off-the-cuff remarks.
These comments made quite a splash on social media. One user humorously suggested that Harris was serving up a ‘fresh word salad’ with her description of democracy’s duality. A group associated with former President Donald Trump’s campaign also highlighted a clip they humorously labeled as “Kamala ‘Cringe’ Harris”.
It’s not the first time Harris has been under fire for her candid remarks. You might recall the “unburdened by what has been” comment or the infamous “coconut tree” remark that ignited countless memes. Despite the criticisms, Harris has embraced these moments, almost reinventing her public image.
