Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ran out and did media appearances after SCOTUS ruled against the left in an affirmative action case and killed Biden’s student loan plan.
I’m probably preaching to the choir but I’m going to keep saying this. During the first half of Biden’s term the Democrats had control of the White House, House, and Senate. If they wanted to codify Roe V. Wade they could have by simply doing away with the filibuster. If the Democrats wanted to pass a student loan debt forgiveness bill they could have but they didn’t.
Now leftists are calling for Trump-like probes and it’s an attempt to impeach Justices.
“If … Chief Justice John Roberts will not come before Congress for an investigation voluntarily, I believe that we should be considering subpoenas. We should be considering investigations,” 33-year-old Rep. Ocasio-Cortez told host Dana Bash Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
“There also must be impeachment on the table. We have a broad level of tools to deal with misconduct, overreach, and abuse of power. And the Supreme Court has not been receiving the adequate oversight necessary in order to preserve their own legitimacy,” Ocasio-Cortez also said.

“They are expanding their role into acting as though they are Congress itself,” she added.
Actually, they are being forced to make rulings because Congress doesn’t want to pass legislation.
The Democrats have already begun using “watchdog” groups to investigate Justice Thomas and that “evidence” Democrats will use in the Senate to start investigations. We know the playbook and we’ve seen it play out since 2016 and it appears they are getting ready to run the same play again.
AOC added that the US Supreme Court is “creeping dangerously towards authoritarianism.”
That’s coming from the party that had members that wanted people arrested for not getting vaccinated.
There are solutions for this that are constitutional. First, the Democrats could pass a bill and go on the record with their views. Second, if Democrats were really serious about changing things (not that they would win, actually it would probably backfire which is why they won’t do it) they could rally and call for a Constitutional Convention and amend the Constitution.
Of course, their ideas are so widely popular they’d never be ratified.
