Meanwhile, former Vice President Al Gore, not exactly known for mincing words, took a shot at Harris for her non-answers, criticizing her for dodging questions about lowering inflation. And look, when Al Gore — Mr. “I invented the Internet” himself — is giving you shade about your ability to talk economics, it might be time to rethink your strategy. The Wall Street Journal’s Peggy Noonan didn’t hold back, calling her an “artless dodger,” while The New York Times’ Bret Stephens echoed the sentiment, urging her to sit down for a real interview rather than another puff piece about her feelings growing up in Oakland. Even CNN’s Abby Phillip pointed out how Harris repeatedly dodges policy specifics in interviews, with questions about serious topics like inflation, illegal immigration, and even the Israel-Hamas war going unanswered.

But let’s not forget, this isn’t just a one-off situation. Harris has a well-documented history of pivoting away from tough questions. During debates, she evaded every single policy question thrown her way. It’s become so predictable that even Scott Jennings over at CNN said she should just answer the question for once. What a concept! It’s almost like voters might want to know what the potential leader of the free world actually thinks about key issues facing the country.

In the end, it all circles back to one simple truth: Americans deserve better. Whether it’s inflation, foreign policy, or the economy, voters are craving real answers and leadership. Instead, we’re stuck with someone who seems more comfortable talking in circles than tackling the tough questions. At this rate, Harris is making Al Gore look like an economic genius.
