But as chaotic as that was, what happened next was even more alarming.
As President Trump and the First Lady stepped onto an escalator at the UN headquarters, the machine suddenly stopped. It wasn’t a stumble or a mechanical failure. Someone turned off the escalator as they were riding it.

The Secret Service just stood there. No immediate reaction. No rush to assist. Just blank stares as the escalator came to a dead halt beneath the President and First Lady.
