Kamala Responds To Trump’s Immigration Policy Claim

So here we go again: Kamala Harris is claiming “disinformation” over an ad that, ironically, just plays her own words on loop.

In an interview on The Breakfast Club, Harris accused the Trump campaign of spinning some kind of wild fiction about her support for taxpayer-funded transgender surgeries for incarcerated illegal aliens. But here’s the catch—it’s her voice, her own statement, no doctoring necessary. In the ad, Harris is on record supporting a policy to use taxpayer money for these surgeries, yet she’s now trying to gaslight everyone into thinking this is somehow Trump’s invention.

Let’s be clear about what’s happening here. During her 2020 presidential run, CNN dug up a questionnaire she filled out where she was directly asked if she would “use executive authority to ensure that transgender and non-binary people who rely on the state for medical care—including those in prison and immigration detention—will have access to comprehensive treatment associated with gender transition, including all necessary surgical care.”

Her answer? A solid “yes.” She even justified her stance by saying that “transition treatment is a medical necessity,” promising to make it a federal priority. Now, after catching some heat, she’s flipping her own position, calling Trump’s ad “misinformation” for simply replaying her exact response. The fact-check here is pretty straightforward—if it’s “misinformation,” it’s coming straight from Kamala.

“Transition treatment is a medical necessity, and I will direct all federal agencies responsible for providing essential medical care to deliver transition treatment,” she said.

Harris doubled down earlier this month on Fox News, saying she’d continue supporting taxpayer-funded gender transition surgeries because it’s “the law.” This is another interesting twist because, despite her claims, there’s no federal mandate that requires taxpayer dollars to fund elective surgeries for illegal immigrants in detention or for prisoners. This policy was initiated and implemented under the Biden-Harris administration, with the first of these procedures happening on their watch in 2022.

What’s even more telling is Harris’s attempt to pin this policy on Trump. She said on The Breakfast Club that Trump’s criticisms are hypocritical because “those surgeries were also his policies.” But here’s the thing: not a single sex change surgery for detained illegal immigrants or prisoners was performed under the Trump administration. This started under Biden and Harris, and Trump’s team has been quick to clarify that distinction.

In an age when fact-checking is supposedly king, it’s interesting how Harris’s campaign seems bent on rewriting her record, labeling clear facts as “disinformation” the minute they become inconvenient. She’s doing verbal gymnastics to dodge the reality of her own positions, but the fact remains that she’s on record supporting these taxpayer-funded surgeries, and no amount of “misinformation” talk is going to make that go away.
