Well folks, it looks as though we’re finally going to have the official answer to the largest looming question in American politics today…well, at least in a week or so.
Donald Trump, the immensely popular and controversial former President has been teasing his return to presidential politics for months now, with some even going so far as to believe that he might make his big announcement on Monday night, before the culmination of the midterms.
Instead, Trump pushed everything back about 8 days.
Former President Donald Trump on the eve of the midterm elections Monday teased a major announcement, which could be his decision on a 2024 presidential run.
“Two years ago we were a great nation, and we will be a great nation again. Not to detract from tomorrow’s very important even critical election… I’m going to be making a very big announcement on Tuesday Nov. 15 at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach,” Trump said of what will likely be a third presidential campaign.
Trump also used the occasion to mock President Joe Biden’s economic policy.
“Inflation should have never happened,” Trump told a raucous crowd. “Forget about buying a turkey for Thanksgiving. Has anybody bought a turkey yet for Thanksgiving? Because if you haven’t, don’t even waste your time.”
Trump added: “Number one, you probably won’t get it. And if you do, you’re going to pay approximately three times for than you did.”
Trump’s pending announcement would almost surely prevent a number of other prominent members of the GOP from running as well…just so long as he makes his proclamation before anyone else gets the chance.
