Recently former President Donald Trump appeared on Fox News with host, Maria Bartiromo and he seemed to change his position.
Up until this interview the former President has been critical of giving support to Ukraine but that seems to have changed now.
Now, the former president said that if he’s elected and Putin refuses a cease-fire he’s going to give Ukraine even more weapons than what Biden is giving them.
“I know Zelensky very well, and I know Putin very well, even better. And I had a good relationship, very good, with both of them. I would tell Zelensky, no more. You got to make a deal. I would tell Putin, if you don’t make a deal, we’re going to give him a lot,” Trump said. “We’re going to them more than they ever got if we have to. I will have the deal done in one day. One day.”
“We’re gonna give [Ukraine] a lot. We’re gonna give them more than they ever got if we have to.”
Trump says he’ll give more weapons to Zelensky if Putin doesn’t agree to a peace deal.

That statement was met with shock online.
Republican strategist Ryan James Girdusky tweeted, “This is basically what Biden is doing.”
Popular conservative Twitter account AG Hamilton responded: “Hilarious. Trump is asked to explain how he would actually end the Ukraine war in one day. He says he would tell Zelensky to stop and then tell Putin we will arm Ukraine a lot more if he doesn’t agree??? No wonder he skipped the Tucker Iowa event.”
However, conservative commentator Ben Shapiro seemed to agree with the former president writing, “the notion that America has no interests in Ukraine is untrue. We have an interest in the Russian military being defanged so they do not invade surrounding nations, thus threatening global supply chains and strengthening American opponents. We have an interest in deterring China from invading Taiwan.”
At the very least we can rest assured that if Trump gets in he’ll make sure we have a plan to give Ukraine weapons and make sure that we don’t run out of ammunition like Biden has done.
