From the very beginning of this strange and brutal Russian invasion of Ukraine, there was confusion about precisely what it was that Vladimir Putin had in mind. His reasoning for invading the sovereign, neighboring nation was pure gibberish at first, and none of the plethora of revisions he’s made since seem to have turned out any truer.
What’s more, there is a rather obvious fatalism to it all, with the actions of Putin and his soldiers now turning so gruesome that there is zero chance that he’d be remaining a meaningful member of the international community afterward. Soon, it became clear as to why Putin was acting with such hopeless disregard for even his own future: He was terminally ill with cancer.
Now it appears as though the Russian Federation President will be ceding power on account of his illness…if only for a brief time.
The Russian tyrant’s health has been source of considerable speculation amid reports that he is battling both abdominal cancer and Parkinson’s Disease.
But now it has been reported that 69-year-old Putin could soon vanish as he goes under the knife, with power transferred to Nikolai Patrushev.
Shadowy Patrushev, 70, is seen as a key architect of the Ukraine war strategy and the man who convinced Putin that Kyiv was awash with neo-Nazis.
The reporting was in line with much of what we’ve seen over recent months.
The claim was reported on Russian media outlet General SVR, which first raised issues of Putin’s health around 18-months ago.
Putin has appeared puffy-faced and a bit slouched in recent television appearances, further cementing the claims of the Kremlin insiders who’ve leaked the cancer news to the press.
