There are just certain things that you don’t use for comparison in modern history, especially when you’re trying to make partisan political points, but who said that the Democrats ever possessed the sort of tact to understand this?

For instance, the left has long taken to describing anyone who doesn’t agree with their ideology as “Nazis”, or otherwise akin to Hitler.  This is indescribably offensive to the Jewish people, who’ve long considered such comparisons as a “softening” of the legacy of The Holocaust.

This week, one of the left’s most notorious talking heads decided to take aim at Donald Trump by comparing recent news of an FBI raid on his Mar-a-Lago home as somehow similar to September 11th, 2001.

James Carville is predicting that former President Trump’s alleged mishandling of official documents could be the most significant story in a generation, with the potential to help transform the midterm elections.

“This Mar-a-Lago story … might be the biggest story since 9/11,” the Democratic strategist told The Hill in an on-camera interview. “That’s not going anywhere.”

The Ragin’ Cajun had some unkind words for Democrats as well:

But Carville also lambasted progressives in his own party for stances he branded “idiotic” because they are, to his mind, so out of step with public sentiment.

The slogan “defund the police,” Carville lamented, amounted to the “three worst words ever in the English language, maybe.”

The unbelievably appalling comparison proves once again that Carville will say anything for attention.
