When it comes to speaking to the press, President Joe Biden isn’t exactly the most suave politician out there…and that’s putting it lightly.
No, Biden is a veritable mess when it comes to off-the-cuff comments and unscripted appearances, having garnered a reputation for accidental nonsense and old-timey gibberish throughout his lengthy political career. Now, well into his 70’s and under the intense pressure of the office of the presidency, the gaffes and blathering have intensified greatly.
The one solution that Biden’s handlers have come up with has been abstinence, and the Commander in Chief has now given the press the cold shoulder twice in one week.
President Joe Biden turned his back on the press for the second time in a week Wednesday following a bevy of bad news about the economy.
Addressing the shaky status of the U.S. supply chain, Biden announced that the Port of Los Angeles will begin to operate 24/7 in order to handle more goods amid growing backlogs. Then he exited the stage.
Last Friday, after his remarks on a disappointing September jobs report, the president didn’t take any questions either.
Members of the press were not pleased.
“President Biden addresses supply chain issue in scripted remarks. Leaves without taking one question. Again. His handlers simply won’t allow it, and it speaks volumes he doesn’t have the confidence in his own arguments not to override them,” Fox News contributor Joe Concha reacted.
