Attendees of a music festival in New York City on Saturday night appeared to boo House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after she made a surprise appearance at the event.
Pelosi, wearing a white pantsuit with a matching scarf, took to the stage of NYC’s Global Citizen music festival where she was booed by those in the audience, videos on social media appear to show.
After being introduced to the stage by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, an actress who is married to Nick Jonas, Pelosi briefly spoke about carbon pollution and climate change.
The moment was soon circulating on social media.

Pelosi has largely been seen as a corrupt, Washington insider who doesn’t believe that she should have to play by the same rules are the rest of the nation.
Not only was she caught breaking California COVID protocols in order to have a salon day at the height of the pandemic, but Pelosi and her husband have made a number of enormous stock moves that appear to predict legislative action by the US government, leading many to believe that Madame Speaker is taking advantage of her position in unacceptable ways.
