When it comes to the liberal left, nothing appears to be more triggering than Donald Trump.
The populist ex-President is a fury-inducing individual when it comes to liberals and other assorted Democrats, with anyone and anything related to No. 45 causing instant stress amount those who consider themselves left of center.
To be fair, Trump has triggered plenty of Republicans as of late, too, but none as vehemently and viciously as those on the left side of the aisle.
And, with Trump now acquitted during a second impeachment trial, the left is ultra-agitated.
Vandals targeted the home of one of former President Donald Trump’s impeachment lawyers, spray-painting the word “TRAITOR” in red on his driveway in suburban Philadelphia, police said.
The vandalism occurred around 8 p.m. on Friday at attorney Michael van der Veen’s residence in West Whiteland Township, Pennsylvania, about 30 miles southwest of Philadelphia, according to police.
No arrests have been made, Detective Scott Pezick of the West Whiteland Township Police Department told ABC News on Sunday afternoon. Pezick said private security has since been hired by the homeowner to protect the residence, and police presence has been beefed up in van der Veen’s neighborhood.
This sort of political animosity has become an unfortunate mainstay in American society as of late, and there appears to be no end in sight.
Congress, now finished with their attempted conviction of Trump, is looking at forming a 9/11-style commission to investigate the attack on the Capitol that spawned this Trump impeachment circus, further entrenching our nation in a bitter feud.
