How Does Biden Recover from This New York State Poll?

Polls about the next presidential race are already getting people into an uproar even though it’s still months and months away and lots of things can change.

A recent poll of voters in New York indicated that President Joe Biden is in a lot of trouble with his party in that state. Some Democrats are taking notice and they don’t think Joe is the right person to put back in the White House.

The Siena College poll found that more than half of the Democrats in the state don’t want Biden and think someone else should be nominated. 51 percent of those who responded want a “different candidate,” while 43 percent think Biden should be nominated.

That’s can’t be what the Biden Administration is looking for. This could be why Biden still has not formally declared that he is going to run again.

What makes this poll even worse is that even in the most liberal areas, like New York City, only a slight majority (52 percent) of Democrats wanted Biden in the next term.

In the more conservative suburbs, 57 percent want someone else, and in upstate New York, 60 percent are looking elsewhere.

The party has to be extremely frustrated because the alternatives are so lousy. Kamala Harris and Pete Buttigieg aren’t building a lot of confidence in people. They can’t seem to do the jobs they have, let alone handle the Oval Office.

Just look at these numbers of the runners-up: Buttigieg (five percent), Harris (three percent), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) (three percent), Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) (three percent), Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (two percent), and California Gov. Gavin Newsom (one percent).

The Republicans have Trump leading with 52 percent and 27 percent for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

It’s hard to imagine what can happen in the next few months that could change people’s positions.
