Senator Chuck Grassley has been around a long time.
The Republican Senator from Iowa isn’t known for running to the press and making brash statements. Nor is he known for posting wild statements on social media to get himself publicity.
But, Grassley is a grinder and right now he is slowly whittling away at an alleged Biden bribery scheme and he just dropped a megaton bomb on the White House.
On June 12, 2023 Grassley went to the floor and used his power as a Senator to put what is claimed to be classified material on the official record.
Since Grassley was reading the file on the floor of the Senate he can not be prosecuted.
The Republican Senator attacked the FBI for now complying with the House Oversight Committee’s subpoena, stating Congress “still lacks a full and complete picture with respect to what that document really says.”
“That’s why it’s important that the document be made public without unnecessary redactions for the American people to see,” he said. “Let me assist for purposes of transparency.”
Then Grassley dropped a bomb.
“The 1023 produced to that House Committee redacted reference that the foreign national who allegedly bribed Joe and Hunter Biden allegedly has audio recordings of his conversations with them,” Grassley continued. “17 total recordings.”
“According to the 1023, the foreign national possesses 15 audio recordings of phone calls between him and Hunter Biden,” Grassley said. “According to the 1023, the foreign national possesses two audio recordings of phone calls between him and then-Vice President Joe Biden.”
rassley said the recordings were “allegedly kept as a sort of insurance policy for the foreign national in case he got into a tight spot.”
“The 1023 also indicates that then-Vice President Joe Biden may have been involved in Burisma employing Hunter Biden,” Grassley said.
Grassley demanded answers on “what, if anything has the Justice Department and FBI done to investigate?”
“The Justice Department and FBI must show their work,” Grassley said. “They no longer deserve the benefit of the doubt.”
The Iowa Senator is a hawk and he’s not letting up. If he gets his hand on those audio recordings things are going to get interesting.
