Of all of the obstacles that the MAGA Movement has faced in recent years, perhaps none is quite as blatant today as the FBI.
The agency recently carried out a lengthy raid of Mar-a-Lago, former President Trump’s “southern White House”. The raid, which was said to be in pursuit of documents belonging to the National Archives, infuriated Republicans who believed that the Bureau was simply attempting to tie Trump so some sort of vast conspiracy that could see him sidelined in 2024.
Now, to add insult to injury, the Bureau is now suggesting that Trump supporters could become domestic terrorists willing to detonate a “dirty bomb” that would target the FBI.
A bulletin from the Department of Homeland Security and Federal Bureau of Investigation was sent to law enforcement agencies warning of increased threats following the FBI’s execution of the search warrant at former President Trump’s Florida estate.
In the days since the warrant was executed, the FBI and DHS have seen an increase in “violent threats” against law enforcement, judiciary and government personnel, including a particular threat to “place a so-called Dirty Bomb in front of FBI headquarters,” according to the bulletin.
“General calls” for “civil war” and “armed rebellion” have also increased in recent days on social media.
Republicans in Congress have also suggested that something fishy may be going on with the FBI, and are demanding a chance to see the affidavit that preceded the warrant used during the raid.
