A new filing in federal court reveal that Special Counsel David Weiss is planning to indict Hunter Biden possibly by the end of September 2023.

“[T]he Speedy Trial Act requires that the Government obtain the return of an indictment by a grand jury by Friday, Sept 29, 2023, at the earliest,” Weiss wrote on September 6.

“The Government intends to seek the return of an indictment in this case before that date,” he said.

The filing was issued in response to a court order that requested a status update on the case.

In August 2023, Hunter Biden’s plea deal fell apart after a judge had serious questions about it.

The original agreement allowed Hunter to plead guilty for failure to pay taxes on over $1.5 million and receive probation instead of jail time.

The agreement also included giving Hunter Biden immunity from future charges, which some speculate could have included felony gun violations.

There was also an interesting foot note in the filing on page 2.

Meanwhile, the House Oversight Committee is continuing their investigation.
