Something strange has been targeting US citizens and officials all around the world in the last several years, and this week saw one of its most worrisome attacks yet.
In Serbia this week, one CIA member had to be evacuated from the nation after experiencing what has become known as “Havana Syndrome”.
A CIA officer was reportedly evacuated from Serbia in a possible case of so-called Havana syndrome after suffering serious injuries that were in line with the mysterious illness.
The Wall Street Journal, citing current and former U.S. officials, reported that the incident in Serbia, which occurred in recent weeks, is the latest in a string of such incidents caused by an unknown source and affecting American diplomats and intelligence officers.
While the specific equipment being used in these attacks remains unknown, the US military believes that only a “direct energy weapon” could produce such chilling effects.
With no end in the sight, and over 200 Americans having already had a bout with Havana Syndrome, it appears as though time will be of the essence in the weeks and months to come.
