My how the tables have turned, no?
Just days ago, there were still a vast number of Democrats and liberal pundits out there salivating over the possibility that Donald Trump, the the former President, might find himself in some serious legal or political trouble over his storage of allegedly-classified documents are his Mar-a-Lago estate.
But earlier this week, an avalanche of similar but more plentiful evidence of the mishandling of classified material slammed into the American news cycle, but this time it was President Joe Biden who had been caught red-handed.
And, worse still, Biden seemed to be “surprised” by the first discovery of documents, which is unnerving in its own right.
When it came time to acknowledge that even more documents were discovered at his own home – in the garage – Biden proffered a horrible excuse.
At a White House press conference, Biden downplayed security concerns about the materials found at his house in Delaware.
When a Fox News reporter asked what Biden was thinking by keeping documents in his garage next to his Corvette, Biden pushed back. “By the way, my Corvette’s in a locked garage, OK? So it’s not like they’re sitting out on the street,” he said.
“So the material was in a locked garage?” asked Fox News reporter Peter Doocy.
Biden responded: “Yes — as well as my Corvette.”
The attorney general has opened an investigation into the troubling revelations, appointing a special counsel to oversee the probe.
