When Xi arrived in the United States from China it was like a pagent. Everything was carefully planned for the APEC meeting including cleaning up the city of San Francisco.
The press conference that took place on November 15, 2023 was also carefully planned. Joe had his cards and was told who to call to make sure he only answered pre-selected questions. But Biden couldn’t even handle that.

Then he rifted and called Xi a dictator and the pain on Blinken’s face was evident.
A reporter yelled, “Would you still refer to President Xi as a dictator?”
“Look, he is. He’s a dictator in the sense that he’s a guy who runs a country that is a communist country that’s based on a form of government totally different than ours,” Biden said as Secretary of State Anthony Blinken visibly winced.

“Twelve months of hard work & diplomacy thrown in the toilet with a simple word,” said former Italian diplomat Marco Carnelos on X of Blinken’s body language.
Now China’s mad, not that Biden was wrong. It’s just funny to watch the circus.
