The previous impeachment of President Donald Trump was one hellacious waste of time, and the Democrats knew it from the start.
Trump had been accused, third-hand, of possibly attempting to pressure the Ukrainian President into launching an investigation into some shady business dealings in the natural gas sector of the European nation. It just so happens that these investigations could bring the Biden family into the spotlight, however, as Joe Biden’s son Hunter was intimately involved with one of the industry’s largest company despite having little to no experience in the field of natural gas whatsoever.
The Democrats then launched their impeachment of Donald Trump based on the notion that the President was simply attempting to damage the Biden family ahead of the 2020 election, without Joe Biden having even been named the Democratic nominee at the time.
Now the left is looking to impeach Trump again, if only to stymy the machinations of the Washington machine enough to prevent Trump from replacing recently deceased Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg before the election.
Freshman Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t want to stop at President Trump’s impeachment either.
From a press conference on Sunday night:
When a reporter asked if buying time could include impeachment of President Trump or Attorney General Barr, Ocasio-Cortez said, “Well, I think I am. I believe that certainly, there has been an enormous amount of law-breaking in the Trump administration. I believe that Attorney General Barr are is unfit for office am, and I am that he has pursued potential we are breaking he here. That being said, this is these are procedures that are in decisions are largely up to house Democratic leadership. But I believe that I also we must consider all the tools available to our disposal and that all of these options should be entertained and on the table.”
The idea that the Attorney General would be impeached as a way to stop the President from performing the constitutionally-mandated duty of appointing the next Supreme Court justice is simply flabbergasting, and further illustrates the extreme pettiness of the Democratic Party.
